Recent weed clearance in the pond, saw all kinds of creatures landing in the small boat we were using for the job.We had newts; dragonfly larve; damselfly nymphs; flatworms; pond snails and water boatman, to name but a few!
It's fantastic to see the pond teaming with life, just one year on from the major clearance work that was carried out.
There is already some spawn in the pond, but I would like to remind people not to take it away! Even more importantly, please don't add anything - not wildlife or plants to the pond. It spreads diseases and it is illegal!!
We hope to run some pond dipping workshops in the near future - so watch this space.

· Must be a sail boat with no motor of any kind
· Boat must sail on the Pond on Good Friday
· Boat must be 1-2½ feet bow to stern
· £1 entry fee and must be registered by 10.30am
· Judging at 11.30am
Refreshments for sale in the Chapel. There will also be display boards in the Chapel showing the Pond—Past, Present and Future, and a cake stall to raise much needed funds
